Into The Beyond

The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad (D&RGWRR) was a very prominent railroad in the Western United States during much of the 20th century. This particular section of track runs through Roy, Utah, right next to the cannery building (another one of my photos on dA shows one of the cannery's outbuildings). In the 1980s, the D&RGWRR was bought out by Union Pacific (UP), and some of its track was torn up while the remaining track became the property of UP. For a while, the railroad grade was all that remained...but recently the railroad was converted into a walking trail. This walking trail is pictured here.
